This basic class provides an overview of working safely in the landscaping and horticultural industry. Included are explanations of working with machinery, reducing hazards from noise and pesticides, and working in extreme temperatures.
Spanish speaking immigrant workers will discuss the differences between expectations in their home countries and the higher priority which US employers place on working safely. This cultural training alone has saved many employers money and problems.
